EXCESS MOLAR VOLUMES OF BINARY LIQUID MIXTURES OF CYCLOHEXANE - CARBON TETRACHLORIDE AND TOLUENE - BENZENE AT VARIOUS TEMPERATURES

ABSTRACT

Excess molar volumes of binary mixtures of cyclohexane - carbon tetrachloride at 288.15, 293.15, 298.15 K and of toluene - benzene at 293.15, 298.15, 308.15 K have been determined using a vibrating tube densimeter. Flory¢s theory of liquid mixture has been applied to calculate the excess enthalpy of cyclohexane - carbon tetrachloride at 298,15 K; the calculated value for the equimolar mixture is in fairly good agreement with experimental results
