Abstract

Chiroptical stpectroscopies, mainly the optical rotatory dispersion (ORD) and the circular dichroism (CD) played an important role for the structure elucidation of various naturally occurring organic compounds, with the flavonoids among them, during the last four decades. The aim of the present review article is to provide characteristic examples on the utilization of these techniques in the flavonoid chemistry.
