An Efficient, One-pot Synthesis of Novel 3,5-Disubstituted-1,2,4-Oxadiazoles from Long-Chain Carboxylic Acid Derivatives

Abstract
A series of novel 3,5-disubstituted-1,2,4-oxadiazoles have been synthesized utilizing either long-chain alkenoates or acyl chlorides with amidoximes in presence of base. The structures of the synthesized compounds were elucidated by IR, mass, 1H and 13C NMR spectroscopy and elemental analysis.
