Abstract
1-(Biphenyl-4-carbonyl)-3-p-tolyl-thiourea (1) has been
synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis and IR spectroscopy. The
crystal and molecular structure of the title compound has been determined from
single crystal X-ray diffraction data. It crystallizes in the triclinic space
group P-1, Z = 4 with a = 9.6482 (17) Å, b = 13.271(2) Å,
c = 14.109(3) Å, a =
92.793(4) °, b = 96.140 (4) °,
g = 107.999(4) °, V = 1701.9(5)
ų and Dcalc = 1.352 Mg/m3.
