Optodynamic waves are induced at the focus of a pulsed laser. When the focus is moved from the CuSO₄ solution through  liquid surface the amplitude  of the wave is changed, being strongest at the surface  (center of the picture).See Horvat, Acta Chim. Slov. 2006, 53(2), 191-196.
